Seasonal, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Seasonal ​/ Summer

Job Summary The City of Mableton is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Workers. This temporary position supports various municipal departments during peak seasons and provides essential services to our community. Duties may include outdoor maintenance, administrative support, event assistance, or other seasonal tasks.

Duties Assist with parks maintenance, landscaping, road work, or other relevant municipal tasks.

Perform general labor duties such as mowing, planting, trash collection, and facility upkeep.

Support special events, including setup, breakdown, and on-site assistance.

Assist with clerical or administrative duties as needed.

Follow safety guidelines and municipal policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Data Entry & Filing:
Ability to organize documents, enter data, and assist with record-keeping.

Customer Service:
Ability to interact with the public, answer questions, and provide assistance in a professional manner.

Basic Computer

Skills:

Familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and municipal databases (if required).Attention to Detail:
Ability to identify potential safety issues and report them.

Teamwork & Communication:
Ability to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public while following instructions.

Manual Labor:
Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials such as trash, tools, and supplies.

Road Work & Facility Upkeep:
Basic understanding of cleaning, repairing, and maintaining public spaces like parks, roads, and municipal buildings.

Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old.

Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license
