Middle Georgia State University (MGA) is a multi‑campus public institution offering baccalaureate and graduate programs. It serves a diverse student body across central Georgia and offers a full‑online campus for remote learners.

This position maintains the environmental services of campus buildings and facilities. The incumbent may serve as a Lead Environmental Services Technician.

• Assist in coordinating day‑to‑day work assignments and ensure compliance with environmental services policies and safe work practices.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and details restrooms, refills dispensers, and stocks supplies.
• Dusts and wipes furniture and fixtures.
• Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors.
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles.
• Cleans classrooms and laboratories.
• Loads, unloads supplies, and stocks and organizes storage areas.
• Cleans spills and broken glass.
• Moves furniture.
• Assists with setting up for special events.
• Performs environmental services‑related projects such as summer turns, stripping and rewaxing floors, and cleaning carpet.
• Reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Opens college‑owned vehicles and golf/utility carts to transport equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Performs related duties as needed.

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Currently hold a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia – Class
  
  C.
• May be required to work after hours, weekends, and be on‑call.
• All employees must pass a background check and motor vehicle report.

• Knowledge of the materials, equipment, and methods used in the environmental services maintenance of public buildings.
• Knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of environmental services equipment.
