Performs routine, preventative, and general maintenance services that require a general skill in a variety of systems. Perform all tasks with priority and focus on safety of patients, staff, and themselves. Maintains life safety systems and required documentation.

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards, documented through the CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, heat exchangers, controls, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair patient care equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, carts, tables, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical systems such as pneumatic tube, HVAC, refrigerators/freezers, ice machines, commercial kitchen equipment, electrical, plumbing, piped medical gas systems, specialized water systems.
• Perform routine to moderately complex general maintenance functions in grounds maintenance, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
• Respond to emergencies such as leaks, floods, water outages, fires, power outages, equipment failures, etc., as directed or within defined emergency response plans.
• Respond to building occupant requests in a timely and professional manner, perform zone maintenance rounding, keep requesters apprised of status of corrective actions and service requests.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and perform equipment safety checks.
• Inspect and repair fire doors, hardware, firewalls and smoke partitions.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
• Proficient computer skills such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
