Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, General Labor
JOB SUMMARY
Inspecting and repairing furniture as well as assembling furniture for our clients as directed by the Station Manager or Floor Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Inspect all furniture that comes through the warehouse to ensure it meets company standards.
- Evaluate damages and select appropriate methods of repair and/or restoration for wood furniture, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
- Maintain inventory and stock records within the refurbishing department and order supplies required to perform daily tasks.
- Utilize tools and other specialized machinery to repair furniture.
- Assist with delivery of repaired products to homes and other locations.
- Assist with off-loading trailers manually (no forklifts).
- Assist with pulling delivery routes.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Ability to assemble and repair furniture carefully and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Efficiency with color matching and blending.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with wood furniture, leather, fabric, and upholstery.
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Employees must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above their heads, and regularly lift or move up to 75 pounds. Frequent use of a phone, PC, and reading and writing of various shipping documents is required.

$30 to $31.25 per hour. The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The company may adjust this range based on prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
