Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and over‑haul major components and systems such as engines, transmissions, differentials, transaxles, electronic fuel injection systems, emission control systems, and related electrical systems.
- Tear down, adjust, repair, reassemble, and run operational checks on components following instructions in technical manuals, while observing safety, sanitation, and hazardous waste disposal rules.
- Isolate and repair complex malfunctions using visual, auditory, and test‑equipment methods (e.g., engine analyzers, compression testers, test benches).
- Disassemble, repair, replace, recondition, and rebuild components according to specifications in technical manuals and accepted trade practices.
- Operate vehicles to test repair work and move around the facility, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated work experience directly related to the duties above, including the required skills and knowledge.
- Experience must be clearly reflected on the résumé at the time of application.
- Resumes should be two pages or less and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security card required.
- Must meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
- One‑year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an E‑Verify check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre‑employment checks in accordance with AR 215‑3, para.
2, including a Tier 1 background investigation. - Must possess a valid driver’s license as required by local, state, or military regulations.
- Work is often performed in tiring, awkward, and uncomfortable positions; frequent standing, bending, stooping, and crawling.
- Lifts supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Exposed to drafts, noise, fumes, dirt, dust, grease, and automotive fluids that may cause irritation from chemicals.
- Must follow safety procedures and use standard safety equipment such as gloves, ear protectors, and safety glasses.
- Must be able to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
