Job Title
Custodian – 3rd shift
Job SummaryThis position is responsible for custodial duties in Wisconsin Union buildings on 3rd shift and maintaining these areas in a safe and sanitary condition. The position reports to the Custodial Services Supervisor and will work under the guidance of an Assistant Supervisor and/or Custodian Lead. All duties are performed in accordance with organizational beliefs and values. Regular attendance is essential. All established safety rules and regulations must be followed.
The employee will be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills.
Cleaning and restocking restrooms, common areas, restaurants, commercial kitchens, dining rooms, theaters and snow removal. May also help with carpet cleaning, hard floor maintenance and refinishing, and other duties as assigned.
Schedule40 hours per week, 10:00pm – 6:30am. Days worked and off are on a rotating schedule.
Wage$17.00 per hour. +Differential Weekend pay for work performed on Saturday and Sunday: $.80 per hour added. +Differential night pay, for work performed between 6pm – 6am an addition $2.50 per hour added.
Key Job Responsibilities- Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.
- Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
- Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed.
- Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities.
- Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.

Required Qualifications3 months of work experience.
Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma.
EducationHigh School Diploma (Preferred).
