Property Maintenance Technician

Complete maintenance service requests efficiently and professionally.
Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance, HVAC, and carpentry work.
Prepare apartments for new residents with quality and attention to detail.
Assist with preventative maintenance and property upkeep.
Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas.
Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
Deliver excellent customer service to residents and team members.
One day each week, this role will serve as a Maintenance Floater supporting additional apartment communities throughout the Dane County area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and gaining experience across multiple properties.
Previous maintenance, construction, or handyman experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
On-call availability required.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor all interior and exterior for maintenance issues. Perform inspections of all apartments, buildings, and common areas.
- Maintain and keep all tools and equipment in acceptable working conditions and work area neat and clean.
- Electrical: replace or fix outlets, light switches, fixtures, and breakers.
- Plumbing: replace or fix faucets, re-piping, toilets, sinks, and unclogging drains.
- Heating and Cooling: general heating repairs and cleaning filters, compressors, and condenser coils.
- Groundskeeping, including but not limited to:
Picking up trash and keeping the building clean and presentable both inside and out. Shoveling and salting sidewalks and entry ways in winter, and lawn care and landscaping as needed. - General carpentry and drywall repairs as needed.
