PurposeOf Position
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Building Services and the direction of the Lead Grounds worker, this position is responsible for operating motor vehicles and equipment, performing grounds maintenance, constructing and maintaining athletic fields and playgrounds, conducting snow removal, warehouse tasks and supporting special projects.
This position will require a high degree of integrity, sustain a culture of continuous improvement, and be committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with a growth mindset in a multi-faceted operation, while having a focus on creating a positive work culture.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Grounds & Exterior Maintenance 55%
- Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning and general upkeep of fields, green spaces and school grounds
- Construct, repair and maintain athletic fields, playgrounds and related equipment
- Lay out and mark athletic fields according to District standards
- Install, maintain and repair fencing, blacktop and concrete surfaces
- Operate snow removal equipment to maintain safe access during winter conditions
Equipment & Vehicle Operations 20% - Repair and maintain ground equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on District vehicles
- Operate pallet trucks, forklifts and other powered equipment in accordance with safety standards
