Maintenance, Building Maintenance

Lutheran Social Services seeks a Maintenance professional to ensure safe, reliable, and well-maintained facilities that support our mission-driven behavioral health, housing, and family services programs. This role performs routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and resident units; completes work orders; and supports inspections of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems. The Maintenance staff collaborates closely with program teams, responds to emergencies, upholds safety standards, and helps create dignified, welcoming environments for clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and resident units
• Complete work orders for repairs in a timely, professional manner
• Inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems and report issues
• Maintain safe, clean, and code-compliant facilities and grounds
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
• Document maintenance activities and maintain inventory of tools and supplies
• Support emergency response, on-call, and after-hours maintenance needs
• Collaborate with care and program staff to minimize disruption to clients
