BG Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician for a premier multifamily community in Madison, Wisconsin. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Position Type:
Senior Maintenance Technician
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining apartment homes, common areas, building systems, and community amenities while ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can prioritize work orders, identify property needs, and ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair maintenance issues throughout the property
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents
- Complete apartment turns and make-ready projects
- Perform plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, drywall, and painting repairs
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, cabinets, and other building components
- Inspect property grounds, common areas, and amenities to identify maintenance needs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards
- Assist with special projects and property improvement initiatives
- Support the maintenance team in maintaining excellent curb appeal and resident satisfaction
Previous multifamily apartment maintenance experience required
Senior-level maintenance experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of:
- General apartment maintenance
- Plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Electrical systems and lighting repairs
- Appliance repair
- Drywall, painting, and carpentry
- Preventative maintenance programs
- Unit turns and make-readies
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and materials as needed
Candidates who have their own maintenance tools are strongly preferred
Work Attire RequirementsTo maintain a professional appearance within the community, all maintenance personnel should report to work in:
- Khaki pants or black work pants
- Professional and clean work attire
- Closed-toe work boots or work shoes appropriate for maintenance duties
