Work Schedule:

100% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Our Maintenance and Engineering Services team is dedicated to repairing both critical and non-critical equipment, building structures and support systems that are integral to maintaining a safe and reliable healthcare environment.

We are seeking a Sheet Metal Worker
:

  • Layout sheet metal projects including design and layout and organizing materials.
  • Perform welding including GTAW and GMAW with various types of metals.
  • Install, test and inspect fire dampers.
  • Offer creative and custom metalworking.

Qualifications
  • Five (5) year sheet metal apprenticeship Required
Work Experience
  • 2 years work experience and construction / installation of mechanical systems Required
  • 3 years experience with sheet metal work in a hospital setting Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal Upon Hire Required
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license issued by the individual's state of residence. Must be at least 21 years old or have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle. Upon Hire Required
