Maintenance Worker Fort Fairfield, ME – FT/Days – Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Now hiring a full-time Maintenance Worker for a locally-based property management group. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in building hands‑on maintenance skills while working a consistent daytime schedule. Full‑Time/Days;
Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with some on‑call availability required. $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining residential units and surrounding grounds to ensure that the facilities are safe, clean, and in proper working condition. Employee will perform general repairs, routine maintenance, cleaning, and seasonal outdoor work. Ideal candidate will have prior grounds maintenance experience and be able to work well independently or with a small team of colleagues.
Responsibilities- Clean and restore vacant housing units for occupancy.
- Perform light carpentry, including drywall patching and minor structural repairs.
- Repair or replace fixtures, appliances, and hardware.
- Clean, resurface, and paint interior and exterior surfaces.
- Replace damaged carpet, flooring, and other materials.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
- Provide lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal services.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in building, facilities, or grounds maintenance preferred.
- Valid Maine driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Background check required.
