Summary :

The purpose of this position is to provide, maintain, and/or procure maintenance for all utilities, equipment, buildings and grounds to assure a safe and pleasant environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Exhibits Gold Standard behaviors in all interactions
  • Complies with all policies and procedures of the Hospital, including but not limited to the following: participation in annual mandatory in-services;
    Healthstream, flu vaccination/declination, punctuality, appropriate dress, etc.
  • Communicates effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team
  • Participates in the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly preventative maintenance program.
  • Completes assigned work orders in the allotted time to the satisfaction of the submitter.
  • Maintains daily vigilance on boilers and associated equipment with an ability to perform minor repairs and restart boiler.
  • Monitors, inspects, tests and approves of performances relating to heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems.
  • Attends staff meeting and reports on accomplishments, progress, backlog problems, potential problems and others.
  • Participates in quality control/performance improvement activities by actively contributing to hospital wide, division wide, departmental quality activities
  • Observes safety rules/regulations/policies and procedures
  • Proper use of organization property and equipment
  • Contributes in efforts to improve productivity and cost control
  • Completes all additional duties in timely manner that are assigned by the manager.
  • Completes required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training
