About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to care for our school building and grounds, ensuring they remain clean, safe, functional, and secure for our students, staff, and families.

• Care for the Space:
  Keep the interior of Southport School safe, welcoming, and fully functional daily.
• Maintain the Grounds:
  Oversee our beautiful outdoor spaces so they are safe and inviting for outdoor learning and play for our students and community
• Ensure Security & Safety:
  Run routine safety checks, manage basic repairs, and keep our systems running smoothly and securely.
• Be a Helping Hand:
  Collaborate with our small, tight-knit staff to support special school events and seasonal transitions.

This position requires applicant to hold a valid Maine driver’s license, obtain Maine DOE Criminal History Records Check (CHRC), and fit for duty employment physical.

Pay range for this position is between $25 and $30 per hour
