Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Sanitation Associate to keep our high-volume food distribution facility clean, safe, and audit-ready. In this on-site role, you will clean and sanitize warehouse floors, docks, storage areas, and restrooms, handle trash and food waste, and support food safety standards in dry, refrigerated, and freezer environments. You will operate cleaning tools and equipment, follow OSHA and company safety rules, and complete cleaning logs and inspections.
Working in a safety-first, teamwork-driven culture, you'll support fast-paced operations that serve restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers nationwide while gaining exposure to logistics and supply chain operations with room for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize warehouse floors, docks, storage areas, and restrooms
- Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment such as scrubbers and sweepers
- Handle and dispose of trash, recyclables, and food waste per company standards
- Follow food safety, HACCP, and sanitation procedures for a distribution environment
- Restock cleaning supplies and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Complete cleaning logs, checklists, and inspection forms accurately
- Work closely with warehouse staff to keep aisles, coolers, and freezers clear and clean
- Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines
- Support shift start-up and shutdown cleaning routines
- Assist with periodic deep-clean and special sanitation projects as needed
