Maintenance Worker, Building Maintenance, Facility Maintenance

Career Systems Development Corporation seeks a Maintenance Worker to support safe, well-functioning Job Corps educational facilities. In this role, you perform routine and preventive maintenance across classrooms, dorms, and campus buildings, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping. You respond to work orders, complete repairs, and assist with room setups and campus events. Working in a mission-driven, student-centered environment, you help create a clean, secure setting where young adults can focus on training and education.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, classrooms, and dormitories
• Inspect and repair plumbing, electrical fixtures, and HVAC components within scope
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs to keep facilities safe and functional
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely, customer-focused manner
• Maintain grounds, walkways, and common areas for cleanliness and safety
• Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout, and OSHA standards while using tools and equipment
• Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and event support for student programs
• Monitor building systems and report major issues to supervisors or licensed contractors
• Maintain maintenance logs, documentation, and inventory of tools and supplies
• Collaborate with staff to support a secure, student-centered campus environment
