Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery is seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our talented culinary team.

As a Commis Chef, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality dishes across multiple dynamic outlets and different service styles. From crafting elegant plated meals for corporate events to preparing delicious room service dishes for our guests, from delivering memorable culinary experiences in our restaurant, to offering sophisticated high tea creations, you’ll be part of a team that prides itself on excellence, creativity, and collaboration.

• Prepare and present high-quality food with consistency and attention to detail
• Support Conference & Events, In-Room Dining, High Tea and A La Carte operations, ensuring timely and professional service
• Assist senior chefs in maintaining kitchen standards and hygiene practices
• Be flexible to support other outlets as required
• Work calmly and efficiently under pressure during peak service times
• Contribute to a positive kitchen culture through teamwork, open communication, and a can-do attitude

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
• A team player with a positive mindset and strong work ethic
• Calm, focused, and reliable in high-paced environments
• Basic technical cooking skills and an eagerness to learn and grow
• A genuine passion for food and hospitality
• Previous kitchen experience in a hotel or events-based environment is desirable
• Flexibility with the ability to work across a 7-day roster
