Critical Facilities Technician
The Critical Facilities Technician provides technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment, including maintenance and oversight of electrical, HVAC, and building management systems.

- Proactively support the safety of the environment & occupants and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
- Monitor IMDC’s critical power, cooling/environmental, security & support systems and facilities to meet or exceed up‑time service levels.
- Perform limited maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of the data center heating and cooling systems and overall facility.
- Monitor, resolve and update all assigned service tickets using IMDC’s ticketing system, including trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment.
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect buildings, grounds, and all equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning operation.
- Proactively identify issues and take the needed steps to resolve them.
- Assist with service delivery tasks when needed.
- 0‑2 years experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of Chiller Plant systems – Trane, York, Multi Stack, Web Control BMS, STS switches, and UPS Maintenance bypass.
- Google Sheets and Google Classroom proficiency.
- Multi‑tasking: manage several systems to handle ticket queues and changing work tasks throughout the day.
- Attention to detail – ability to understand and follow documented processes and Iron Mountain’s safety code; the role is highly process‑driven.
- Organization & prioritization – manage time with minimal supervision to get work done efficiently and on time.

- Availability for overtime work; working hours may vary and nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- Ability to obtain security clearance via government or other agency background check may be required.
