Job Overview
Yulista Contract Services LLC is providing full on‑site and off‑site maintenance flight and functional check flight operations to support the U.S. Army Flight Test Directorate (AFTD) at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including, but not limited to, AR 95‑1 and AR 95‑20. Areas of support include completion of all maintenance test flights on AFTD aircraft, fault isolation and troubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non‑rated crew member flight records.
EssentialDuties
- Primarily serve as a member of the aircraft tow team, with occasional assistance in jacking aircraft and disconnecting instruments, ignition systems, and fuel and oil lines.
- Assist aircraft mechanics in dismantling, repairing, overhauling, or replacing parts and assemblies such as engines, plumbing and hydraulic systems, and aircraft structural sections.
- Perform routine duties including furnishing materials, tools and supplies to mechanics, lifting and holding materials in place during operations, cleaning work areas, machines, tools, and equipment, and cleaning aircraft interior and exterior parts and assemblies with solvents or other cleaning solutions.
- Assist flight line mechanics, workers, or servicers in servicing and repairing aircraft prior to flight.
- Use the ACN logbook system and other computer‑based technical manuals.
- Maintain on‑time schedules for assigned projects.
- Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Skills and Abilities
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff, including interactions with other crew members.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Perform basic mathematical computations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Maintenance background and mechanical inclination.
- Must currently have or be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional computer skills/software programs.
- Accurate data entry into databases.
