Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient maintenance of production machinery and equipment and the physical plant in accordance with state, federal, and company policies and procedures. The role reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on production machinery and equipment to keep them in proper working condition.
- Manage daily maintenance operations of the facility.
- Report directly to the maintenance supervisor on issues, status, and functions within the department.
- Be on call to assist with any maintenance operational needs.
- Diagnose problems with equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
- Fabricate components as needed.
- Support and comply with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned.
- Basic math skills.
- Previous knowledge of machinery used in polyethylene film manufacturing.
- Welding skills.
- Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical or mechanical field or related experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- No fear of heights.
- Basic manufacturing wiring experience.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strategic thinker.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including wearing PPE in designated areas.
- Visually inspect production areas for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards, and employee safety.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, other governmental agencies, and housekeeping rules.
