** Job Objective:*
* * To provide organizational and administrative assistance to support the daily functions of the Manchester Maintenance Department.
**
* Essential Job Functions:

*** Assist the Maintenance Manager with the operations and functions of the Maintenance Department as needed.
* Manage all maintenance stockrooms, to include inventory stocking, organizing, labeling, replenishing, tracking, shipping and receiving of all stockroom items. Responsible for cleanliness, order and accountability of stockrooms and all stocked items.
* Designs, implements and manages systems, procedures and processes targeted to enhance department organization, capabilities and efficiency.
* Work as an integral team member with all maintenance personnel to ensure adequate stock levels, investigate manufacturing issues with stocked items, handle warranty tracking and related issues, enter requisitions and track/monitor purchase orders and coordinate expected delivery dates to minimize equipment downtime. Make credit card purchases and reconcile invoices.
* Manage stockroom inventory utilizing EAMS and other computerized technology tools to ensure efficient and effective use and disposition of stockroom assets.
* Prepare and submit reports on stockroom inventory levels, critical spare parts, repair cycle asset status and warranty items.
* Assist the maintenance manager in monitoring and management of all stocked consumables to ensure optimum supplies are on hand and effectively managed. Works directly with suppliers to minimize repair and fabrication times, delivery times and availability issues.
* Purchase, handle and coordinate disposition of hazardous chemicals and hazardous/universal waste as needed.
* Organize/file pertinent work center documentation, office supplies, and equipment information as required by the maintenance manager. Reorder and stock associated items as needed.
* Perform data entry tasks, make phone calls, schedule, coordinate and handle vendor visits. Work with vendors as needed for cost comparisons, new or alternate products and to resolve supplier issues or concerns.
* Assist with downtime activities, working with supervisors, managers and maintenance personnel to provide repair supplies, ensure schedule deconfliction, and workload and lead time management.
· Assist as needed with requests for maintenance support by locating or dispatching personnel during periods of manpower shortages or heavy workloads.
* Comminicate verbally and in writing to leads and managers; statuses, forecasts and projections on maintenance support matters such as spare parts, items in the repair cycle, fabrication items, repair capability limitations and alternate vendor recommendations.
* Support the Policy Commitments of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. This includes identifying, developing and implementing continuous improvement projects that meet the Policy Commitment Objectives.
* Promote and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with all company Safety Procedures and OSHA regulations.
* Employee will help in reducing and minimizing wastes wherever possible, for ensuring the correct disposal of recyclable materials, for following established environmental procedures and for supporting action plans targeted at reducing the company’s impact on the environment.

* Job Qualifications:

*** 3-5 years experience in a technical environment or 3-5 years in an industrial plant maintenance support role.
* Technical aptitude and familiarity with terms, concepts, and activities involved in and around a maintenance department.
* Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in either an operational, technical or planning/scheduling capacity.
* Computer literate with solid experience using MS Office products, email and other Windows-based programs.
* Customer service oriented with the desire to take on new tasks and spread gained knowledge to other individuals.
* Adept at identification of machine components, component characteristics, attributes and concepts and able to utilize this knowledge in making recommendations and purchasing decisions.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of communicating on a technical level with maintenance personnel, suppliers and customers.
* Superior organizational skills with the ability to multitask and juggle multiple conflicting priorities in a faced-paced, high pressure operation.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work alone or in teams to solve problems.
* Valid drivers license. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
* Experience with an EAM system, to include inventory module.
