About This Role
The Facilities Operations Specialist provides comprehensive facilities, custodial, maintenance, and repair coordination support for Bilbrey Family Event Center, a university agriculture and animal event center and other University buildings. This role ensures a clean, safe, functional, and event-ready environment by performing custodial maintenance, routine and corrective repair work, and assisting with facilities coordination functions.

What You'll Need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
- Requires one year of relevant experience.
- Various training and/or certification may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills and experience.
- Experience operating equipment, including trucks, gators, forklifts, tractors, and skid loaders.
- Ability to support a fast-paced event schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Working knowledge of custodial practices, cleaning products, equipment and safety standards.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance systems and electrical components.
- Familiarity with animal husbandry and care.
- Ability to safely use custodial and maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify facility issues proactively.
- Effective communication (oral and written) skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Valid driver's license.
Additional Role Information:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials and equipment (typically up to 50 lbs).
- Work is performed in an active event center environment with proximity to livestock and livestock
environments, dust, cleaning chemicals, equipment, noise, protected heights and varying temperatures.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
Anticipated Hiring Pay RangeHourly $ 17.00 - $ 18.00
