The Floor Mechanic performs the general, routine, and preventative maintenance needed to keep these facilities running. Effectively responds to and documents all maintenance issues that arise on the unit (s). Performs minor HVAC
electrical, painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed. If complex problems arise, requests additional assistance to resolve.
Maintains close communications with Patient Care Directors, Patients, Supervisors and Office of Facilities Operations Administration to ensure prompt and efficient response to requests. Inventories and maintains parts and materials needed for equipment on the unit(s)
This is a full time position located at our New York
- Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center
Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00am to 4:00 pm
Saturday: 4:00pm to 12:00 am
Required Criteria
- 5 years of general maintenance experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Working knowledge of thetrades
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
Preferred Criteria
- Valid current driver's license
