Position: EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Equipment Technician at Landscapes Golf Management and Manhattan Country Club. Join the maintenance team to ensure optimal performance of golf course equipment.

Job Summary

Responsible for maintenance and repair of all grounds keeping equipment and tools, purchasing parts, recordkeeping, and training operators.

Essential Job Functions

Promotes, works and acts in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.

Maintains and inspects mowing equipment to identify repair and maintenance needs, reporting issues to the Superintendent.

Performs maintenance procedures and completes repairs necessary for proper operation of mowing equipment, club cars, small tractors, and loaders.

Establishes and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all golf equipment, golf cart fleet, and club vehicles.

Operates small engine equipment, golf carts, small tractors and loaders.

Trains operators on proper use of equipment safely.

Purchases parts necessary for maintenance of grounds keeping equipment and golf carts.

Maintains records associated with maintenance and repair.

Maintains a clean and safe work area.

Observes all safety procedures and adheres to the safety program.

Attends and actively participates in scheduled staff meetings.

Demonstrates commitment to the club, being service- and solution-oriented, positive interactions, meeting quality, service, safety expectations.

Performs additional assignments as directed by managers.

Maintains regular and punctual attendance on site.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus.

Skill in use of repair tools and mechanical repair.

Knowledge of theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.

Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions while repairing equipment.

Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine maintenance work.

Ability to communicate effectively and maintain records.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED.

Associate's degree in related field preferred.

2 years of previous experience in small engine repair or lawn and garden equipment preferred.

Physical Requirements

Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0‑25%
Standing and walking: 25‑50%
Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling: 0‑50%
Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing, driving 50‑100%
Lifting over 50 pounds: 0‑25%
