Enrollees are participants in a grant program and are not federal employees. They do not sign federal documents, author articles, or represent the government.

• Minimum one year of experience in cleaning services, or a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience required with Windows and Microsoft Word.

The position is located in the Facilities group of a campus that includes six buildings and a six‑acre property. The employee will perform custodial and grounds maintenance duties as outlined below:

• Maintain restrooms in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition, including sweeping, scrubbing, disinfecting, deodorizing, cleaning mirrors, sinks, and water fountains, dusting ledges and woodwork, replacing supplies, and reporting maintenance issues. (40%)
• Clean offices, storerooms, conference rooms, stairways, break rooms, and other areas as needed, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, dusting furniture, and cleaning door handles, walls, windows, and blinds. Set up conference or other spaces for events. (30%)
• Maintain lawns using zero‑turn mowers, clean and maintain garden beds, operate weed eaters, edgers, blowers, hand tools, apply weed control chemicals using tank sprayers and hand pumps, and operate snow blowers, shovels, salt spreaders, plow trucks, and skid steers. (20%)
• Perform minor maintenance duties such as replacing batteries and bulbs, performing minor wall repairs, and basic plumbing repairs, assistance to maintenance staff as needed. (5%)
• Operate pickup trucks, panel trucks, and forklifts. (5%)

• Training will be provided as needed by the agency.
• Mandatory health and safety training must be completed.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 pounds and the ability to kneel and bend for cleaning obligations. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
