Senior Maintenance Worker - Cecil Ivory House

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility.

* Make repairs requiring skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical.

* Responsible for preventative maintenance of cooling/heating and domestic hot water systems.

* Ensure that the periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documented.

* Arrange for and oversee outside contractors as directed.

* Receive and store deliveries of maintenance/office supplies.

* Move furniture as needed.

* Be a member of the fire safety team.

* Participate in fire drills.

* Related duties as assigned.

HOURS:

Full-time 37.5 hours per week

* On call for emergencies, this may require early and/or late hours.

* Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Ability to communicate in English.

* Valid Driver's License required.

* Five years experience in building maintenance, experience in trades is helpful.

* Ability to use independent discretion and judgement.

* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
