As a Highway Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a variety of important outdoor maintenance and roadway operations, including:
- Maintaining county roads and right-of-ways to keep travel safe and efficient
- Operating snowplows and snow removal equipment during winter weather events
- Mowing grass, trimming trees and brush, spraying weeds, and repairing washouts
- Repairing potholes, filling roadway cracks, and maintaining bridges and guardrails
- Installing and repairing posts, markers, and snow fences
- Helping improve the appearance and safety of county roadways through general maintenance and cleanup
- Ability to dig at grade around utilities
- Work outdoors and stay active

RequirementsA high school diploma or any combination of education and work experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
A Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
