Lead Event Specialist Part Time

Overview

As an Associate, you will conduct in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, serving and demonstrating products to consumers in a professional manner. You will maintain product knowledge, manage event equipment, and keep a professional appearance.

• Manage and maintain event equipment and supplies.
• Communicate with store management about upcoming and past events when the Supervisor is absent.
• Serve as the point person for events when the Supervisor is absent.
• Assist other Event Specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
• Provide leadership and knowledge to the team.
• Acquire adequate product knowledge.
• Proactively intercept, engage, and sell products to consumers.
• Perform all duties assigned to the demo program.
• Communicate product features and benefits clearly.
• Prepare and serve food samples in compliance with food safety guidelines.
• Use small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives to prepare foods.
• Maintain a clean, sterile workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
• Complete all assigned work.
• Assist with preparation for client visits and audit corrections.
• Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Complete expense reports per Company Policy.
• Submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Take digital photos of the perfect table setup to document success stories for clients.

The role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week; the company reserves the discretion to adjust duties based on business needs.

Follow any other instructions from management and perform additional tasks as directed.

Report all employment‑related injuries to the direct supervisor promptly.

  Experience:
  
  High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination.
• Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficient with a personal computer and mobile device, and internal systems.
• Certificates, Licenses: Food Safety Professional Certification; local food‑handler’s permit if required.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, reading, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing a 6‑ft ladder, balancing, lifting up to 25 lb (occasionally 50 lb), pushing/pulling a wheeled demonstration cart, preparing foods with raw products, and contact with cleaning supplies.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Point of contact when the Supervisor is absent.
• Working Conditions: Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming; compliance with retailer dress‑code requirements.

Salary Range: $14.50 – $14.50 per hour.
