Maintenance Custodian Associate

Position Summary

Sam’s Club is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help shape a member’s entire shopping experience by maintaining a clean and safe store environment. The role requires constant movement on foot, a positive attitude, and a dedication to member satisfaction.

• Ensure members see a well‑kept parking lot, clean restrooms, and clean floors.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and operating floor scrubbers.
• Respond promptly to spills and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with the Company Environmental Sustainability Program.
• Maintain appropriate levels of approved chemicals and supplies, rotate stock, and place orders when supplies are low.
• Follow all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous material handling, and steel standard guidelines.
• Report unsafe situations and maintain a safe, clean environment for members and associates.

• Be 18 years of age or older.

• Experience in a maintenance or custodial role.
• Ability to work an entire shift on your feet in physically demanding environments.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, customer‑focused attitude.
• Adaptability and willingness to thrive in fast‑paced environments.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
