Job Summary
Patient Meals Assembly – PRN (As Needed). Responsible for duties in a variety of areas including Tray Line, Retail, and Utility, with a primary focus on patient meals assembly.
Work ShiftDay shift (United States of America).
Responsibilities- Ensure the safety of customers and team members according to HACCP and county health department guidelines.
- Wash hands frequently and wear gloves.
- Follow infection prevention practices, including personal hygiene expectations (e.g., fingernail length and finish) and report potential risks.
- Maintain all work areas in a clean and organized manner; free of spills and fall hazards.
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures; immediately correct or escalate occurrences that are out of range.
- Store food and supplies using proper labeling, dating, and rotation methods.
- Operate equipment safely and report any unsafe conditions (e.g., frayed electrical cords).
- Follow the department’s work schedule, including weekends and holidays, and arrive at the workstation prior to task start time.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the workstation according to area requirements.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and station responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Complete area checklists and required forms.
- Remain flexible to support other team members across the department to achieve desired service outcomes.
- Follow work area uniform specifications; ensure clothing and shoes are neat and clean.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Communicate respectfully and in clear, concise terms.
- Respect the cultural traditions of team members and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all Well Star Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred (not required).
- Hospital food service experience and customer service experience highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English, and basic math skills.
