Job Summary
Kitchen Cleaning & Sanitation Support / Dishwasher - Part Time (Work Shift Day, United States of America).
Responsibilities- Safely transport patient meal food carts to and from nursing units, warewashing dishes, pots, and pans; perform basic housekeeping of walls, floors, windows, and equipment.
- Serve, prep, clean, restock, and cashier in retail operations while demonstrating strong customer service skills.
- Work on a patient tray assembly line, preparing meals according to diet orders and patient preferences.
- Wash hands frequently and wear gloves; follow infection prevention practices and personal hygiene expectations.
- Maintain all work areas clean and organized; free of spills and fall hazards.
- Monitor and record food and/or equipment temperatures, correcting or escalating out‑of‑range occurrences immediately.
- Store food and supplies with proper labeling, dating, and rotation methods.
- Operate equipment per safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
- Follow department work schedule, including weekends and holidays, and arrive on time.
- Set up, maintain, and break down workstations according to area requirements.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and station responsibilities with accuracy.
- Complete area checklists and forms.
- Care for equipment according to manufacturer and area guidelines.
- Remain flexible to support other team members across the department.
- Follow uniform specifications and maintain neat clothing and shoes.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet goals and objectives.
- Communicate respectfully and clearly.
- Respect cultural traditions of team members and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all Well Star Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; not required.
- Hospital food service experience and customer service experience highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English and basic math.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
