Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

To protect West Bank homes and businesses by ensuring that our flood protection system functions as designed.
OVERVIEW OF THIS ROLEThis position provides physical effort to accomplish a variety of manual tasks and skilled light equipment operation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSNo experience or training is required.
JOB DUTIES- Operates motorized equipment, including zero turning radius commercial riding lawn mowers, push lawnmowers, line trimmers, other equipment to support operations under the jurisdiction of the Authority.
- Assists in performing scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as required, including fluid and filter changes, and parts lubrication.
- Assists mechanic with minor repairs to equipment as required, including disassembling and reassembling parts, and lubricating and fueling equipment.
- Operates small handheld power equipment such as pole saws, chainsaws, and blowers.
- Assists Foreman A in ensuring minor repairs are performed, and routine user maintenance is completed as scheduled and/or required.
- Appointment Type: This appointment type can be filled as Probationary – up to 24 months.
- Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
- Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
