Heavy Equipment Operator

Hours:
Monday - Friday 6am-6pm

Pay: $24.45 an hour

Martin Marietta is currently looking for motivated individuals to join our portable production crews. This crew travels to different sand plants around Central Iowa and occasionally Eastern Nebraska to help with production. This position would be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and maintenance on the portable plant.

This position is paid a competitive hourly wage as well as drive time pay, mileage pay and $175 per diem pay when not working at the base location.

• Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining
• Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment
• Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
• Maintain consistent and efficient operation of plant
• Diagnose and assist in trouble‑shooting when process is interrupted
• Perform preventative maintenance and pre‑shift inspections as needed
• All other duties as assigned

• Previous Equipment Operation experience preferred, will train the right candidate
• Bi‑lingual is a plus
• Must have a valid driver's license

This is a full‑time position that works 40+ hours per week. This job will require travel to multiple sites.
