WhatYou'll Do
As a Housekeeping & Maintenance Team Member, you will:
- Maintain a Clean & Hygienic Hospital: Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed cleaning duties throughout the hospital, including exam rooms, restrooms, kennels, and common areas.
- Follow Strict Sanitation Protocols: Disinfect surfaces, manage biohazard waste, and uphold sterility standards in medical areas.
- Manage Laundry Duties: Collect, wash, dry, fold, and restock clean linens.
- Perform Basic Maintenance: Change light bulbs, clear floor drains, restock dispensers, and handle minor repairs.
- Outdoor & Exterior Upkeep: Sweep sidewalks, shovel snow, maintain dog waste stations, and remove debris from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
- Monitor & Report Issues: Identify maintenance concerns and promptly report equipment malfunctions or supply needs to management.
The ideal candidate for this position is:
- Detail-Oriented & Reliable: Takes pride in cleanliness and follows protocols with accuracy.
- Physically Capable: Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs during a shift.
- Self-Motivated: Can work independently and stay on top of tasks without constant supervision.
- Positive & Professional: Maintains a friendly and respectful attitude while working around pets, clients, and staff.
- Comfortable Around Animals: Able to work in an environment with various species, including dogs, cats, and exotics.
- Committed to Safety & Hygiene: Understands or is willing to learn biohazard waste disposal and infection control protocols.
Previous cleaning, maintenance, or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in a veterinary, healthcare, or medical setting is helpful.
