Job OverviewSupervises the maintenance and repair of all equipment and building systems associated with the Automated Warehouse Facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
Full‑time colleagues typically work 30 or more hours per week while part‑time colleagues work 12–24 hours per week.
What You Will Do- Supervise, assign, and inspect the work of the maintenance staff
- Participate hands‑on in maintenance and repair of equipment as required
- Prepare estimates of work hours, materials, and resources; approve and initiate requisitions; prepare reports and maintain repair records
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and facilities
- Prepare reports and analysis of preventive maintenance and work order programs
- Identify adverse trends and take appropriate action or make recommendations
- Maintain cost‑effective spare parts inventory and ensure minimal downtime by securing an accurately stocked parts area
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements such as OSHA, EPA, and NFRP programs
- Maintain budget compliance for maintenance labor and expenses and provide recommendations for improvement; assist manager in developing annual budgets
- Train and instruct personnel
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect, strengthening relationships and ensuring authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
- Demonstrate regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- High school diploma or equivalent (encouraged)
- 2–5 years of experience operating and maintaining a warehouse distribution center or equivalent combination of experience. Automated warehouse systems knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design principles and fundamentals of automated industrial production equipment.
- Proficient knowledge and continuous adherence to OSHA, state and local safety standards, and the MLO Safety program.
- Effective communication skills and ability to read, understand, and interpret employment policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English.
- Resourceful self‑starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Lifts and moves items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Regular walking, standing, and communicating.
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Random drug testing will be conducted on a monthly or semi‑monthly basis. Colleagues will be tested within 24 hours of notification.
