Job Title

20-hour Custodian; 180 Days;
Flexible time between 2:30-11:00 P.M.

Bell Intermediate Academy

Perform custodial and basic maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and well‑maintained school environment. This role involves cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors; emptying trash and recycling; setting up and breaking down furniture for events and activities; performing minor repairs; monitoring building systems; and reporting maintenance concerns to supervisors. The position requires the ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to needs and unexpected situations.

The job requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead; move throughout the school building and grounds; and regularly lift, carry, push, and pull equipment or supplies weighing 20 pounds or more.

High school diploma or equivalent, basic computer or communication skills (if relevant), experience in similar settings.

Hourly rate based on experience and certification ranges from $16.25 to $28.75. For positions over 29 hours per week, benefits include section 125 health, vision, and dental coverage; voluntary benefits such as life insurance, long‑term disability, and other ancillary insurance options; paid time off, 3 personal days, and 5 sick days. This will be prorated based on the start date. Unused paid leave days roll over into sick accumulated days, and use of the Wellness Gym (workout facility for all employees and guests ages 18+) and Marathon Health Clinic is available.
