• Event set‑ups and breakdowns, including tents, stages, floor covering, barricades, tables, chairs, etc.
• Office moves, including furniture and file cabinets, ensuring proper moving procedures to prevent damage.
• Dormitory moves, including beds/bunking beds, desks, chests, etc.
• Assist any other department within the campus community and perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director; work independently without supervision.
• Perform all duties assigned by the immediate Supervisor/Manager/Director.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must attain on‑site training within 30 days of hire or have proof of previous training in event set‑up, packing, wrapping, moving, loading of furniture and safety training on proper lifting.
• A uniform issued by MSMU will be required.

• Hours vary with university events but typically range between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.; schedules are weekly.
• Overtime during weekdays, weekends and holidays is required as needed.
• A weekend rotation schedule may be required depending on staffing, workloads and university events.
• Schedules may be adjusted and overnights may be required with inclement weather, university events or campus emergencies.

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy loads up and down stairs.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather.
• Must be able to work well as a team.

Minimum Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
