Location:

Montgomery County Grinding Operations facility in Derwood, MD and Montgomery County Yard Trim Composting Facility in Dickerson, MD.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used for environmental projects.
• Supervise maintenance staff and oversee daily project operations to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and efficient facility operations.

• High school diploma or GED equivalency certificate.
• Valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Some facilities may require a valid CDL.

• Senior Lead Mechanic: 8 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Maintenance Supervisor: 7 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in an industrial setting, including 3 years of supervisory responsibilities.
• Senior Maintenance Supervisor: 8 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in a power generating facility, including 5 years of supervisory responsibilities.
• Lead Maintenance Supervisor: 10 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in an industrial setting, including 7 years of supervisory responsibilities.
• Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted for experience for all levels.
• Education experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience.
• Applicants may substitute a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering for 4 years of the required experience for the Maintenance Supervisor levels.
