Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor
The Production Supervisor is responsible for aircraft that transport the President, Vice President, 1st Lady, Cabinet Members, and other high-ranking national and international dignitaries.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Will supervise, direct, and control all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 89thAW and transient aircraft on a 24/7 basis to maintain airworthiness standards.
- Monitor daily flying schedule to ensure all "backshops" aircraft requirements are met.
- Coordinates with other maintenance organizations and staff agencies to ensure effective support.
- Responsible for supporting aircraft generation and mission readiness to include aircraft forms review and CAMS entries.
- Ensures all maintenance is conducted safely IAW applicable instructions, policies, and directives.
- Briefs and updates aircraft status to senior leaders.
- Performs disaster preparedness responsibilities, implements emergency procedures and severe weather warning actions, IAW directives and local policies.
- Participates in the daily maintenance planning and scheduling meetings.
- Acts as the single point of contact for all backshop aircraft maintenance and maintenance branch personal matters after duty hours.
- Completes employee performance reviews.
- Assists in the training and direction of assigned personnel.
- Must be able to work first shift, second shift, third shift /or weekend shift as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations is required.
- FAA Airframe Certificate is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Note:
US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance. - Must be able to obtain & maintain a flightline driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 89th AW Special Air Missions and Air Force technical publication applicable to aircraft maintenance is preferred.
- Candidates must possess exceptional communication skills and leadership qualities.
