The Shift Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing janitorial and sanitation operations during assigned shifts within a distribution center environment.

* High school diploma or GED preferred.

* 2-4 years of janitorial, sanitation, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred.

* Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.

* Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.

* Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety regulations.

* Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Cleaning Operations Supervision

* Supervise daily cleaning and sanitation activities throughout the distribution center.

* Ensure all assigned areas, including warehouse floors, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, dock areas, and common spaces, are cleaned according to established standards.

* Monitor shift productivity and ensure completion of scheduled cleaning tasks.

* Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.

* Respond to urgent cleaning requests and operational needs during the shift.

Team Leadership

* Lead, train, and support janitorial staff during assigned shifts.

* Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.

* Conduct shift meetings to communicate expectations, safety procedures, and operational updates.

* Provide coaching, corrective action, and performance feedback when necessary.

* Assist with onboarding and training of new employees.

Safety & Compliance

* Enforce OSHA regulations, site safety rules, and company cleaning procedures.

* Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

* Conduct safety inspections and immediately address hazards or unsafe conditions.

* Ensure employees wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

* Report accidents, incidents, and equipment issues according to company procedures.

Inventory & Equipment Management

* Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.

* Request or replenish supplies as needed to support operations.

* Inspect cleaning equipment to ensure proper operation and maintenance.

* Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly.

Quality Control

* Perform quality assurance inspections throughout the shift.

* Ensure cleaning services meet client expectations and company standards.
