• Coordinating staffing schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, resident units, and grounds.
• Using cleaning chemicals safely and properly in accordance with department guidelines and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA, and other relevant rules and regulations.
• Coordinating annual deep cleaning programs for both resident units and common areas.
• Scheduling the preparation of units for admissions.
• Conducting regular inspections of all areas and maintaining inventory control systems for supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Scheduling and conducting training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel.
• Ability to hire your own staff.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of supervisory housekeeping/janitorial experience in a healthcare facility.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to successfully schedule and supervise staff.
• Flexibility with schedule.
• Must enjoy working with the senior population.
• Experience in housekeeping in LTC/SNF facility.
• Previous housekeeping director experience preferred.
• Leadership personality.
• Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to health care facilities.
