Engineer, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Location: Berlin

The Engineer supports the daily operation and upkeep of the property by maintaining guest cottages, common areas, and resort equipment. This hands-on role helps ensure the resort remains safe, functional, and guest-ready through routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive care.

Responsibilities

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems

* Troubleshoot and repair resort equipment, facilities, pools, and common-area systems

* Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner

* Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and service interruptions

* Inspect resort facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concerns

* Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety procedures

* Assist during emergencies such as power outages, severe weather, or equipment failures

* Work closely with other departments to support smooth day-to-day resort operations

* Keep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and inspections

* Support additional maintenance projects and operational tasks as assigned

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settings

* Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques

* Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills

* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

* Valid driver's license preferred

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions

* Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
