Laborer Positions

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading team that provides environmental solutions to the public and private sectors throughout the State of Maryland.

Maryland Environmental Service has openings for two Laborer positions at The Midshore II Regional Landfill and at our Caroline County Homeowner Drop-off. These positions provide general maintenance support for operations and construction activities at assigned facilities.

The part-time Homeowner Drop-off schedule is as follows:

• Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The full-time position at the Landfill schedule is as follows:

• Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m.
  
  -4:00 p.m. With possible Saturdays as needed.

Estimated Pay Range:

$39,351.31 - $54,106.09

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from a standard high school or GED OR completion of eighth grade plus one year of warehouse, production, building maintenance, janitorial or other general work experience. Position may require a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

This position is eligible for on-spot, contingent offers. Candidates who apply after an on-spot offer has been extended (including internal candidates) will not be considered unless the candidate who receives the on-spot, contingent offer does not complete the process to become an MES employee.

Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.
