We're looking for a Facilities Coordinator to support our Millington, MD facility, safety programs, and maintenance activities while helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience with facility inspections, preventive maintenance, safety training, work order coordination, and continuous improvement projects, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to grow in facilities, maintenance, or safety.
- Conducting facility, production area, and safety inspections while helping identify and resolve safety and maintenance concerns.
- Supporting preventive maintenance, building repairs, fire and life‑safety activities, facility improvement projects, and maintenance documentation.
- Assist with employee safety training, safety recordkeeping, compliance activities, and tracking corrective actions through computer‑based systems
- Assist with monitoring building conditions and identifying maintenance or repair needs.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel and outside contractors as needed.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and maintained.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and facility enhancement projects.
- Assist with facility inspections and follow up on identified maintenance needs.
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- A high school diploma or GED and basic computer skills, with the ability to learn safety, maintenance, and facility management systems
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills, along with a safety-focused mindset and willingness to work in a hands‑on environment.
- Experience in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, construction, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.
- Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.
- This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
- Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.
- Work is performed in a manufacturing setting that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to varying temperatures.
