Custodian - 2nd Shift

Custodian – 2nd Shift Salary: $15.19 per hour. Full‑time position working 5:00p.m. to 1:30a.m. with a half‑hour lunch break.

• Perform custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms, lounges, offices, classrooms, and corridors according to standard operating procedures.
• Use authorized cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain a clean and professional interior environment.
• Adhere to safety policies, secure and lock assigned areas, and assist with event set‑up and tear‑down.
• Maintain assigned equipment, report repairs, and help clean spills.
• Change light bulbs throughout campus as needed and report required repairs.
• Observe and report maintenance needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license.
• Basic communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

• Shift schedule: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m., and 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. (30‑minute lunch break each shift).
• May work various hours, including occasional weekend coverage.
• Exposure to cold and hot conditions; must use all personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Essential staff: required to report to work if the university closes.

• Custodial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Office machines, lifts, and motor vehicles.

• Walk, stand, bend, and/or reach; climb a ladder; clear snow and ice when needed.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate standard custodial equipment.
