Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer

Maintenance Technician 1 oversees day‑to‑day engineering operations in the lodge, including project management, life safety, ordering, vendor coordination, and preventive maintenance across hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut‑off valves for equipment and utility shut‑offs for buildings.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts via approved communication programs and standards.
- Ensure work is performed safely and timely, adhering to safety and equipment utilization standards.
- Maintain working knowledge of departmental safety procedures; attend safety training as required.
- Maintain necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems.
- Follow standard operating procedures for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety, including completing all required documentation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering.
- Technical degree or related training.
- Trade‑related certifications, preferably in HVAC and/or electrical.
- Experience in hospitality or healthcare industry.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds unaided and heavier items with assistance, including moving up/down stairs, ramps, and ladders; reach overhead and below knees, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and work at heights up to 50 feet with ladders, harnesses, and lifts.
- Computer skills: database software, internet software, order processing systems, Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license.
$20.50 annual base salary.
The salary range is one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package, which may include bonuses, a paid time‑off policy, and other perks.
