The Director of Maintenance will support both Mason facilities and have expert skills in general building maintenance as well as performing both predictive and preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.

This person will have the ability to work independently and troubleshoot mechanical problems and provide cost effective repairs. Provide leadership, guidance and on the job training to lower level Maintenance Technicians as well as housekeeping staff. • You have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• You have five years of maintenance experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience in a long-term care or healthcare environment.
• You bring advanced knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• You have experience working collaboratively with nursing, housekeeping, and facility leadership teams to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• You're a team player and strong communicator with a positive, can-do mindset who leads by example.
• You're a problem solver, with good attention to detail.

• Responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the community and its physical location.
• Hire, evaluate, coordinate, monitor performance, schedule and supervise department staff in accordance with company policy and state law.
• Coordinate maintenance and housekeeping services and activities with other departments.
• Flexibility to remain on call 24 hours per day, including evenings and weekends to respond to emergencies if needed.
• Responsible for all landscaping on property including mowing, mulching, trimming and planting.
• Participates in property surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies. Maintains positive communications with local fire marshal, building inspector, state elevator inspector and any other jurisdiction governing the property.
• Conducts daily inspection of property's outside grounds. Immediately corrects any needed items to assure property is always tour ready.
• Supervises safety and fire protection and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment regularly.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures to identify appropriate safety precautions and equipment to use when performing tasks that could result in bodily injury.
• Ensures all containers of hazardous chemicals in the department are properly labeled and stored.
• Ensures all necessary Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are obtained, maintained and stored in areas accessible to all employees. Responsible for implementation of all OSHA policies. Works within…
