Operations Laborer

Location: Tyngsboro

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Laborer performs a wide range of tasks to support operations at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. The incumbent will be responsible for site cleanup, material handling, and general maintenance tasks, often in outdoor environments, and may occasionally involve heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Maintains the work site.

* Fuels vehicles and equipment.

* Cleans track and related equipment.

* Maintains and repairs equipment.

* Performs yard work, including mowing and paper pick up.

* Operates general site vehicles and equipment, including water trucks, pick-up trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.

* Performs general maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.

* Install temporary wind fences, as required.

* Direct traffic at the site as necessary.

* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Knowledge of landscaping and skilled in using landscaping equipment.

* Skilled in using hand and shop tools and instruments.

* Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

* Must be able to prioritize, stay focused and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

2-4 Years of relevant work experience.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $21.75 to $29.92
* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
