Repair Specialist

Brief Overview
:
As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will use industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs. You will champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude and deliver high‑quality service to customers.

• Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands‑on) with a focus on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Repair chips, cracks and other auto‑glass related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation and communication via Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicle during idle time and perform housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools and chemicals utilized throughout the workday.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s licence and any other licenses required to operate a company vehicle.
• Completion of Safelite Safe Tech certification (required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Lifting and carrying up to 25lbs for short periods; assist an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26lbs to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist the body.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws; agreement to be monitored via camera/videow surveillance.
• Maintain professionalism and passion for delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding expectations.
• Work outside in a variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures for extended periods.
• Handle chemicals (including but not limited to flammable chemicals) as applicable per the Safelite Way of Fitting.
• Work scheduled days with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customers’ needs.
• Problem‑solving and ability to troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write and interpret the English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally (via phone) and written (via computer or other electronic means).
• Maintain a professional appearance, adherence to company uniform and PPE policies.
• Willingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition.

This position involves driving duties that will be monitored through the use of cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.
