Position Overview
The Building & Facilities Maintenance position plays a critical role in maintaining the overall appearance, functionality, and safety of Barrel One Collective's buildings and hospitality spaces. This position supports a wide range of general maintenance, repair, upkeep, and improvement projects across brewery, restaurant, office, retail, and event environments. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem solving, and variety in their day‑to‑day responsibilities.
We are looking for someone dependable, mechanically inclined, self‑directed, and comfortable handling a broad range of facility‑related tasks independently. The ideal candidate brings practical trade knowledge, strong common sense, and pride in maintaining spaces that are safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for both employees and guests.
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout brewery and hospitality locations
- Complete routine maintenance requests and facility upkeep items
- Repair doors, locks, trim, shelving, furniture, fixtures, and hardware
- Perform light carpentry, drywall, patching, painting, and finish work
- Address plumbing‑related issues including faucets, toilets, drains, clogs, and leaks
- Replace lighting, ceiling tiles, filters, and other building components
- Assemble, move, and install furniture, equipment, and storage systems
- Support cleanliness and upkeep of outdoor spaces, patios, walkways, and event areas
- Assist with seasonal landscaping, snow removal, and grounds maintenance as needed
- Maintain restaurant, taproom, office, and guest‑facing areas to company standards
- Respond quickly to operational maintenance needs during business hours or events
- Support setup and breakdown of events, seasonal activations, and special projects
- Assist with small facility improvement and renovation projects
- Coordinate with managers regarding facility concerns and operational priorities
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and repair of facility equipment and appliances
- Perform routine inspections of building systems and identify maintenance concerns proactively
- Work alongside maintenance vendors or contractors when needed
- Maintain organized tools, equipment, and work spaces
- Pick up parts and materials as necessary
What you bring to the table:
- Previous facilities, maintenance, handyman, construction, property maintenance, or trade experience strongly preferred
- General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and building repairs
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, professional, and solution‑oriented
- Comfortable working in active hospitality and production environments
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely
- Flexibility to occasionally support nights, weekends, or emergency facility needs if necessary
- Forklift experience a plus but not required
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and manual labor
- Exposure to varying temperatures, loud environments, and active operational spaces
- Ability to work safely around guests, staff, equipment, and production operations
